KOREA GOLF INTRODUCTION
1) We have about 860 golf courses, and every golf course has more than 300 golfers per 18 holes playing every day. 2) We have a population of 51 million and more than 5.5 million people playing golf, and at least 2.5 million golfers go abroad to play golf every year. 3) Green fees are pretty expensive. They start at $120 on weekdays and $180 on weekends and holidays, but you'll have to pay extra for a buggy ($80 per flight for 4 people) and a caddie tip ($120 per a flight, caddies compulsory). But some courses are more expensive. 4) Golf courses generally require booking a month in advance to secure a safe tee time. 5) We have four distinct seasons and it is very cold from December to February. During this period, many people go to Southeast Asia to play golf, including Thailand (27%), the Philippines (25%), China (19%), Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia and so on. 6) Recently, more and more Korean golfers are interested in golf trips to Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and the United States as well as Southeast Asia. 7) We only use Korean. Sometimes it can be inconvenient. Of course, some Koreans are good at English, but not basically. You should refer to that. 8) Luxury hotels and restaurants can be a bit expensive. However, compared to Europe or the United States, places that are used by the public are not very expensive and taxi fares are not high. With the well-developed public transportation such as the subway, transportation to the city center is very convenient and cheap.
